Lesson One: Welcome! Let’s Start Earning Online — One Simple Step at a Time
Welcome to Affiliate Income After 50 or so! Over the next five days, I’ll walk you through a simple, step-by-step process to start earning income online through affiliate marketing — even if you’re brand new to this.
So, What is Affiliate Marketing?
It’s when you share a product or service you like, and if someone buys it through your link, you earn a commission — at no extra cost to them. I’ve been earning income online since 2006, and affiliate marketing was how I reached a steady six-figures a year within 18 months of coming online. I’ve helped many people over the years to do the same,so I know you can as well… if you are consistent and follow my strategies for success.
Think of it like recommending a favorite book, kitchen gadget, or online tool… and getting paid when someone says, “That sounds good!” and buys it.
Why It’s Perfect for Seniors Like Us:
You don’t need to create your own product
You don’’t need to handle inventory or shipping
You can work from anywhere (home, RV, even a beach!) and from anywhere in the world!

Lesson Two: Choose What to Promote (Even If You’re Not an Expert)
What Should You Promote as an Affiliate? Let’s Make it Easy
Now that you’ve signed up for an affiliate program (great job!), it’s time to choose something to promote.
You don’t need to be a salesperson or expert. In fact, the best affiliate marketers are just people who share what they love, use, and believe in.
Use My 3 C’s Method to Choose Products:
Curiosity — What are you curious or excited about?
Credibility — What do people ask your advice on?
Commission — What products or services pay well?
Ideas to Get You Started:
A kitchen tool you love using
A health product that helped you
A book you recommend to friends
A tool or app that saved you time
A course or training that inspired you
Your Lesson 2 Action Step:
Make a list of 5 things you love, use, or talk about often.
These could become your first affiliate promotions.
Need inspiration? Just look around your home or think of the last thing you told a friend, “You should try this!”

Lesson Three: Write a Simple Promotion (Even If You’re Not a Writer)
Write Your First Affiliate Message in 5 Minutes
You’ve chosen a product or service you want to promote — fantastic! Now, we’ll turn that into a simple message you can share.
You don’t need fancy copywriting skills. You just need to be genuine and helpful. Think of it like talking to a friend.
Use This Fill-in-the-Blank Template:
“I recently tried [PRODUCT] and was really impressed.
Here’s why I recommend it:
[REASON #1]
[REASON #2]
If you want to check it out, here’s the link: [YOUR AFFILIATE LINK].”
Example:
“I recently bought a neck pillow on Amazon and was surprised how much better I slept! It supports my head and helps with my posture too. If you’ve been waking up sore, you might love it as much as I do. Here’s the link: [affiliate link]”
Your Lesson 3 Action Step:
Write your first affiliate message using the template.
You can keep it short and sweet — 4–5 sentences is perfect.

Good news: affiliate marketing works best when you’re simply being helpful, not pushy. You’re sharing something useful — not selling vacuum cleaners door-to-door.
Where to Share Your Link:
In a casual email to friends
On Facebook, X, LinkedIn, or another social platform
In a blog post or in your YouTube description
Inside a Facebook group (if allowed)
With your email list (if you have one)
Example:
On Facebook:
“Just wanted to share this [PRODUCT] I’ve been using. It’s helped me with [RESULT]. Here’s the link if you want to check it out: [affiliate link]”
Your Lesson 4 Action Step:
Share your affiliate message in one place today. It could be a text to a friend, a Facebook post, or a short email.
Small actions lead to real results — and people will thank you for your recommendations.
