Public speaking is the way to take your business to the next level. I had been told that if I wanted to change my life I would need to be able to speak to groups. I didn’t always understand that, but now I am seeing the light. You must think about the topic you will speak on, the venues where you will present you information, and the type of follow up you will offer to those who come to hear you.
When I was just getting started, I did not have a topic to speak about. After my business began to grow, I began to speak about article marketing, affiliate marketing, and working from my home computer. Think about the topics that you could talk about to share your information with others.
It is important to get as much practice as possible, so offer to speak to local groups before you move on to larger ones that do not know you as well. I spoke to Rotary and other service organizations first, then got invited to a women’s entrepreneur group and a group set up by the local real estate board. Finally, in 2009, I was invited to speak at several Internet marketing conferences, and now this is a regular part of my business. I have recently completed my first book, so this will become a topic that I can easily speak about to others.
When I speak, my goal is to teach the audience as much as possible. I give them step by step actions they can implement right away. At the end, I offer them a program so they can continue to work with me more closely over time.
Think about how you can add a public speaking component to your online business. Even if you choose to stay in or near your home town for now, the opportunities are available for you to change your business forever.

Great point, Connie!
Most successful people are simply expected to be comfortable to speak to and teach groups. Their message needs to be heard, and people want to attend the events.
When someone has a fear of public speaking, there are things we can do to release that quickly.
I am grateful for the great conferences and tele seminars that you provide!
Thank you for being a wonderful presenter and teacher!

This is a great idea and a proven strategy Connie.
And like you, I too have had the pleasure of doing my share of public speaking.
Although oddly enough, I was initially invited to speak at various niche conventions and virtually no local venues!LOL!
If you even believe that.
But you are so right, by consistently doing so, it’s a proven way to network, grow both your network and expand your content idea library as well.
