Learning how to market on the Internet is similar to learning any new set of skills; you need to have some direction and a step by step guide to follow as you are learning. If you attempt to jump in and do it all at once, you will soon feel like you have jumped into the deep end of the pool before learning how to swim well. If you are feeling overwhelmed at this point, then you know exactly what I am talking about here.
There is definitely a better way to learn what you need to know to build a profitable online business. This involves seeing an overview of the entire process, and then learning each piece of it in a logical and organized way. This will give you the best chance to be successful. Many people give up after a few short months, simply because they could not figure out what to do next.
Think back to any job or career you were just starting out in. In my case, I worked as a classroom teacher for many years. There was a two year training program, and that was after I had spent two years taking college courses to earn my teaching credential. No one would have expected me to go right into a classroom and begin teaching the students. Online marketing does not have such a long learning curve, but you must still spend six months to a year learning every part of the business. Once you do this, you will be able to create a business that will serve you for years to come.
I believe that Stephen and Kerry Beck have an excellent program that does this exact thing; their training takes you step by step through the learning, with weekly lessons on how to get started with your online business. I am going through this training, along with many of my students, and I can tell you this would have made a huge difference in my progress if it had been available when I was new to marketing online.
