Today, October 15, 2012 is Blog Action Day. This has been an annual event since 2007, and I have participated each year with a post that shares my thoughts and ideas with people around the world, based on that year’s theme. This year’s theme is: The Power of We.
The Power of We is a celebration of people working together to make a positive difference in the world, either for their own communities or for people they will never meet half way around he world.
Since coming online to work exclusively as an online marketer, information product creator, mentor, author, and trainer I have experienced the power of working as part of a community. I have always believed that it truly takes a village for any of us to reach our highest potential. The people I have connected with on the Internet have shown by example that they are committed to making a positive difference in the world.
I have met people from around the world who use their blogging platform and online presence to help those who have no voice. This includes the underprivileged, orphans, animals, and those who are simply not able to stand up for themselves at this point in time.
My passion is working with non-profit organizations such as Rotary International, a group that focuses on bringing clean water to people in need, and to eradicating polio from the planet. I have used my online presence to spread the word and I know it has made a difference.
Strictly from a business standpoint, I have now worked with hundreds of people to teach them how to earn a living on the Internet. Many of these people are unemployed, underemployed, caring for family members, or dealing with a serious illness. My programs give them the ability to earn a full time income from their home computers.
There will always be strength in numbers; it’s simply a matter of leveraging the power we have through the Internet to connect with people and to form meaningful communities that will make a difference in the lives of others.
For Blog Action Day 2012, I believe we have all made great and significant progress.
