Even though I am far from being an expert in the area of SEO (search engine optimization), I have studied it enough to know that it makes a huge difference in how you are perceived online. For example, if you Google my name, “connie ragen green”, you will see that about 30,000 hits are returned. This is because of how I have positioned myself on the internet. You can do the exact same thing so that more people will find you and your sites.
Whenever I write an article, post to this or any one of my other blogs, comment in a forum, or forward one of my 248 domain names to another site, I am using the power of SEO to get my name and my topic known to the world.
For example, in this blog post I have used a title that many people are searching for – information on search engine optimization. I have spelled it out as well as using just the acronym, giving me the best possible chance to attract people who are searching for information one way or the other. Because I do teach about SEO in my online programs, it makes sense that someone finding me through this post would be interested in what I am writing about here.
Article titles are another area that will benefit from being optimized for Google and the other search engines. Begin your titles with your keywords. Keywords are the specific words and phrases people type into the search engines when they are searching for information on your topic. When you write your articles, allow the keywords to appear naturally throughout the article.
The least talked about and most overlooked method of search engine optimization comes from domain names you purchase and redirect to affiliate sites. When you optimize these domains, you will see that they will appear on the first or second page of Google very quickly, bringing you more affiliate sales and increasing your bottom line.

It’s amazing how many traditional publishers rage against constructing headlines to benefit SEO efforts. Catchy headlines can be the death of you when they’re put into an H1. I always tell them to save the wit for the subhead.
