Ask just about anyone about how to build an online business and the first thing they will recommend is blogging. I started blogging in 2005, just to get started online and to refine my niche. As time went on my blog posts became more specific to my topic and readers began to comment.
I encourage you to make blogging a part of your daily routine. I always teach that your blog is your home on the internet, so keep it updated regularly and pay attention to the details, such as making sure to have an optin page in the upper right-hand corner and to have your name where everyone can see it clearly. This will help you to establish yourself online while you set up the other parts of your business and put your systems in place.
Start with just one blog until you know what you will be doing online. I made the mistake of starting 10 blogs during 2005, and soon found myself too scattered to focus on my niche. After six months or so, review your online business plan and see if starting a new blog is necessary. This will save you time and help you to achieve success more easily.

Very sound and sensible advice. I can see where starting a whole pile of blogs will get you bogged down in a hurry. Since it’s Labor Day, I’ll just say that’s it’s too labor-intensive!
