Adding an audio component to what you are doing online is an excellent way to connect with even more people who are interested in your topic. I’ve been doing some experimenting with different ways to get my audio out into the marketplace, and I must say that I love what you can do over at Posterous.com. They have a free version that is perfect for what we are doing online. This site allows you to send an email attachment with a link to your audio recording that will then be distributed as a podcast.
I did this by reading a few pages from my short report on ‘How To Write A Short Report’. You can read an article, make a short outline to read from, or just make a list of bullet points. Then send the link to them and more people will be able to find you on the Internet. Be sure to include your keywords as your tags to get the most from this marketing strategy. This is a great way to get even more traffic to your sites.

Great post, Connie. I have just myself been thinking about adding podcasts to my marketing strategy. But how about “just” adding podcasts to your own blog? Wouldn’t that be a good idea?

Claus – the benefit of putting it on a third party site is that
they will receive so much more traffic than your blog does.
Bring them back to your site from the larger, busier one.

Great audio Connie. I believe you told me the other day that you recorded the audio on your desktop with another program (is that right?) and then uploaded it to Posterous. The quality of this piece is terrific. And you’re showing us at least two ways to repurpose our material in one location.
Thanks for always thinking of us.

Thanks for showing yet another way to repurpose my content and get it to more people.
What tools do you use to record the audio content that is uploaded to the Posterous site?

What a nice, simple idea that doesnt require much additional work at all.
Thanks Connie!

Love, love, love this idea, Connie. And I just recently discovered Posterous, which I feel is a terrific (not to be overlooked) tool. I’m using Audio Acrobat for recordings. It’s perfect for someone like me who hates complicated instructions and steps. Give me “easy” any day of the week!
