With all of the talk about using Twitter and Facebook to connect with prospects, not enough has been said and written about LinkedIn. Once a tool used predominantly by the corporate world, I am finding that LinkedIn has finally become more social in nature.
Today I asked a question, answered someone else’s question, updated my status, and created an event, in much the same way as I do on Facebook. The RSS feed from my blog appears on my profile page, along with links to this blog and a website I am currently promoting. They also have groups, and you can create your own if you like.
The bottom line is that you need a presence on LinkedIn, but you will only have to visit there once or twice a month in order to keep up with things. It is by far the least time consuming of the Big Three social networking sites.
