Becoming a Successful Warrior Plus Member
Warrior Plus is one of the top marketing platforms for digital vendors and affiliates, but for newbies, it can seem intimidating if you don’t know how to make your efforts there successful. Here, I’ll share some best practices for Warrior Plus to make your experience a satisfying and profitable one from the beginning.
The one thing you might focus on is the technical steps – registering on the platform, creating listings and offers, and so on. But there’s so much more to succeeding than just these tasks.
There’s a strategic component that matters a lot, because on this platform, you have conversion rates, ratings and reviews as well as scores and badges that tell people whether or not others appreciate your work.
This can attract or repel affiliates and vendors from working with you, so it’s imperative to make sure you spend time mastering these aspects of marketing on the Warrior Plus platform as well.
Below, you’re going to see two parts to this report teaching you best practices on Warrior Plus – one from the vendor perspective and the other from the affiliate side of things.
Best Practices for Warrior Plus As a Vendor
Being a vendor comes with its own set of responsibilities. Consumers are relying on you to deliver your very best information that provides value to them for their needs. Affiliates need the same, but for different reasons – so their own subscribers will appreciate the recommendation they made.
There are nine basic principles you can adhere to that will ensure you’re doing your best as a Warrior Plus vendor, starting with maintaining quality to keep refunds low. Having a high refund rate will set off alarm bells with affiliates and it serves as an obvious sign that you’re not serving the needs of your customers.
Never lie on the sales page and when you do create a product, be thorough and complete with your information. The second thing to know is that you should launch full funnels, not just a single product.
With a funnel, your customers are getting a valuable front end item at a launch discount, with upgrades that complement the original product nicely, adding value to their purchase.
As a side note, this also attracts more affiliates to the mix, because it gives them additional opportunities to add to their commissions. You’re also more likely to be chosen as a deal of the day if the offer is comprehensive and serves the buyers well.
Another thing you may want to do as a vendor is to take extra steps to cater to your affiliates. Being a vendor who watches out for the affiliates’ success means you not only give advance to notice of your product launches so that they can prepare a bonus, but that you offer other perks as well.
This can include things like at least 50% Commission, if not 100% on the front end and 50% on the upgrades, offering swipe files they can copy and paste into their email autoresponder, and hosting a contest with cash prize winnings.
Another thing you may want to implement as a smart Warrior Plus vendor is a standard of who you will and will not approve as an affiliate. They have scores for each member of the site, and you can set some preliminary boundaries that make it so that anyone below that number (such as 60) cannot even apply as an affiliate.
However, if you do want to allow everyone to apply, you want to be very selective in who you approve. There are many people who will send junk traffic because they don’t know what they’re doing online.
This wouldn’t seem like such a big deal, but it will directly affect your conversions. If other top performing affiliates see a low conversion rate because you have approved everybody to promote for you, it will look as if your product is the problem.
The next thing to integrate into your plan as a vendor is to understand and abide by Warrior Plus guidelines and rules. You should go through their knowledge bank to understand what they recommend for selling products, but also join their Facebook group and participate there, both asking questions and watching the answers to other people’s questions so that you know how to project yourself as a member of the platform.
Next, you want to make sure that you’re not making any empty promises to affiliates. There are many joint venture pages that promise reciprocal promotions. As a vendor, you will be building a list of buyers, and they are going to not only judge you by the product you release, but by those you promote as well.
If you have an affiliate who promotes for you, but their own products are not up to your standards or will not serve your audience well, you don’t want to promise that you will promote them because it puts your subscribers at risk.
Another thing to do as a vendor is to use any beta features whenever they become available to you. For example, the inline bump feature is something that not everyone had in the beginning.
This allows you to have a notice on the checkout page for your front end product where the consumer simply has to check a box to add on an additional item. If you can become an elite member of Warrior Plus, they will make these beta features available to you whenever something new is implemented on the site.
Even if you are not in this category of members, you can also keep an eye out for new features and announcements from Warrior Plus so that you can begin using these features as they become available to everyone within the site.
One thing you may also want to do as a vendor is to remind customers to leave reviews and ratings for your products. Whenever someone clicks on your vendor username, they will often see star ratings showing what people think of the product you have released into the marketplace.
And lastly, you want to maintain consistency as a vendor on Warrior Plus. You don’t want to launch something once every two years, because no one will remember who you are. You want to have a consistent flow of products and tools being released into the marketplace.
Best Practices for Warrior Plus As an Affiliate
Even if your primary goal is to become a vendor on Warrior Plus, you will likely be promoting as an affiliate eventually. Being a vendor means you’re bringing affiliates onboard for your own launches.
Many of them will be competitors and have products of their own. While you don’t want to promote all of the competitor products, there will definitely be some worthy of telling your subscribers about, helping you earn commissions in the process.
So let’s look at some best practices you’ll want to integrate into your business as a Warrior Plus affiliate. The first sounds obvious, but apparently isn’t – it’s choosing quality over sales.
You can trick an endless supply of unsuspecting consumers into buying something through your link, but you’re also putting your own reputation at risk in the process. Your subscribers don’t just care about the quality of what you produce as a vendor – they rely on you to be honest about quality when you’re promoting something.
Take time to review products personally before agreeing to promote something. Never promote if you feel it’s lacking (unless you can create a bonus to fill the gap in information).
It may be uncomfortable having to turn down a vendor as a prospective affiliate, but it’s more awkward fielding complaints from a flood of subscribers disappointed in you and unsubscribing from your list because you can no longer be trusted.
Another thing to employ as a best practice is the investigation of the vendor themselves. It’s not only the product you’re promoting, but the person launching it. If you know this person has been involved in shady behavior, you need to protect your buyers from falling into that person’s hands.
Remember, if they buy through your link, they’re going to now be a subscriber on the vendor’s list most likely. So if you know they promote unethical people or partner with unsavory characters, even if their product is decent, take a pass on sending your people to their launch.
In addition to that issue, you also want to consider having a bonus strategy in place for the best product launches. Bonuses, even those not filling a gap for a product that’s lacking, give the prospective buyer a reason to buy through your link over someone else’s.
Many customers bonus shop, which means once they make up their mind about buying the main product from the vendor, they start going from affiliate to affiliate to see who’s promoting it and what bonuses they’re offering.
Many of them shop based on the volume of the bonus. For example, a full course or eBook is likely to get more attention than a single checklist or cheat sheet. But some shop based on their needs and the quality of the bonus instead, regardless of how big or small it is.
When creating a bonus, think of different options you can offer. Sometimes, people want more of the same. For example, if you’re promoting private label rights, then offering more of the same type of content would be smart. This is just one aspect of using best practices for Warrior Plus to grow your business.
Or, you can provide something that complements the original topic nicely. If you’re promoting a course on how to make money online, but the original product doesn’t provide a step-by-step course on how to create and launch a site, that would be your best bet for a viable bonus topic.
When offering a bonus, the next thing you want to do as an affiliate is recognize when it’s a smart idea to use a bridge page. This isn’t always needed. But sometimes, a vendor who offers great information isn’t a good marketer when it comes to the development and design of their sales letters.
Copywriting and info product writing are two very different things. The vendor might have a great product when you review it, but if you think the sales page is lacking, create a bridge page to send your subscribers to.
On your bridge page, you not only have an opportunity to go into detail about your bonus, but you can warm the readers up about the main vendor’s product so that when they’re ready to buy, they can click through to the sales page and go straight to the buy button.
Another thing to do as a best practice when you’re an affiliate is to check the Warrior Plus product release calendar. If you go to the Warrior Plus site, click on Affiliate then Launch Calendar.
Items may not show up until they’ve been approved, so you want to check back frequently to see when something new is listed. You can also see previous releases, so if you want to promote something, this will link you to recent launches from the past.
It will tell you the name of the product and the vendor, so you have certain vendors you want to avoid promoting (or some that you definitely want to promote), here is where you can find their launches.
You can also use this calendar to plan your bonus creation and promo calendar. It’s a good idea to always serve your audience with solid recommendations. If you see something eye catching coming up in three weeks by a reputable vendor, create a bonus for it.
How do you find out a reputation for a vendor? First, look at their ratings. You can also Google them and ask around from other online entrepreneurs to see what they have to say about the person.
Every marketer (including you) will probably have a couple of people who don’t agree with how you run your business. So you want to take 1-2 rejections with a grain of salt. But if there’s an overwhelming landslide of disgruntled customers, that’s a sign for alarm.
Another thing to consider when you’re acting as an affiliate on Warrior Plus is whether or not there’s a contest. This should not necessarily sway or repel you from promoting. But it’s good to know in helping you plan promotions and bonuses.
If there are several products launching in the near future for vendors who have a good reputation for delivering quality products, you might find one of them listed also has a cash prize contest that can add profits to your promotion.
You can log into Warrior Plus and click on Affiliates and then Contests. Initially, it will be divided into Hot Contests and Upcoming Contests, telling you the start and end date of the contest.
You can also click on the individual contest to see more details about it, such as how it’s set up, how many places have winnings being paid out, and more. Don’t choose to promote solely based on contests, but check it out periodically to see if you can boost your income with a smart promo choice.
Being successful by using best practices for Warrior Plus means taking your role as a niche leader seriously. You have to prioritize value and quality for your audience and profits and reputation for yourself. It’s easy to achieve if you stick to your ethics and don’t compromise them just to satisfy the needs of others.
