Many of you are involved in the 30 Day Power Blogging Challenge. Today is day 6 of the challenge, and I wanted to share some interesting facts with you. Of the 84 people who originally said they were in, about ten of them have written to me with reasons why they will be unable to continue. Among these reasons, or excuses, as I like to refer to them, were these:
- I have family coming in for Easter/Passover and can’t blog this weekend
- I don’t think blogging is really that important; I’m going back to twice a week
- I posted every day for three days and no one signed up
You either have reasons or results. We are all free to choose, but taking no action will not be good for your business. The good news is that all of this makes it much easier for the rest of us to excel in our niche. Most people will not follow through and stay with something for the long haul, so if you are someone who does stick with it, you will be the one others come to when they are ready to do business.
Building your online business is a worthwhile endeavor. You are creating a portable empire, where you can work from any place in the world during the hours you choose. The income potential is also fantastic. I make 3-4 times as much per hour as I ever did in my previous careers. Blog on!

Once I realized that both TypePad and WP have features that allow you to set the date and time you publish your post, the “tomorrow is a holiday” excuse disappears. Personally I find it easier to get on a roll, write a couple posts at once and set them to publish on sequential days.
