As you read this post I am somewhere else. You see, I am writing this post during the afternoon of April 18, 2009, but I have set my blog to publish it on the morning of April 24. I will be out of town at that time, attending a conference with Adam Urbanski and his group, and will not want to leave the conference in order to post to my blog.
Take advantage of this feature, available on both WordPress and Typepad blogs. If you are working full time, write two or three posts on your day off and schedule them to appear on the days that you choose. Maybe you do a book review every Thursday, but are not at your computer on that day. Simply write one or more book reviews when you are at your computer, and then have them publish on subsequent Thursday mornings.
This is a great way to have your posts appear at the same time on given days, training the search engines to spider your pages on a regular basis. It is also time management for your online business. It is convenient for many reasons, so there is no reason not to have fresh content appear on your blog at regular intervals.

I love the advance posting option in WordPress. I have utilized it quite a bit but definitely not as much as I could. Last week, I posted my Friday tips for the next two weeks so that I can focus on other things (and write more posts LOL).
Hope you’re having fun at your conference!
