Believe it or not, the people on your list may not realize that you have a blog. I was shocked when I first discovered this fact, but after I took a closer look it made complete sense. You will be able to monetize your list much better, get lots more traffic and visitors to your blog, and increase both your credibility and visibility by inviting the people on your list to visit your blog. I will explain exactly how this can be done most effectively.
It was not until I was on a teleseminar one day that I understood that my prospects and clients do not know everything I am doing in my online business. I had made a comment about my blog and someone asked me which blog I was referring to. Even though he had been on my list for more than a year, he had no idea that I was blogging several times each week!
This was entirely my fault because I had never told him about it. Some of my posts have links to products and courses I am promoting, but most of the posts contain good solid information on building an Internet business. You must tell your list about these posts so they will have the opportunity to read and benefit from them.
Another thing I soon learned was that I could dramatically increase the traffic to my website by letting my prospects know about my posts. Each time someone visits your blog they are more likely to make your site one of their regular stops when they are surfing for valuable information on your topic. This spike in traffic will also help you to push your blog up higher in the search engine rankings, which is valuable in and of itself as a strategy for marketing yourself on the Internet.
Be sure to ask for comments both at the end of your blog posts and in your emails to your list. This will encourage the interaction that can build rapport and relationships very quickly. You want to know what people think about the various topics you are discussing, and this is one way to do it. Also, each time someone leaves a comment, go in to your blog’s dashboard and respond to their comment. This will boost your blog up even higher, and show others that you care about what they have to say. It is also an excellent way to get ideas for new products and courses; evaluate what they are commenting on and solve their problems and answer their questions in your product or course.
