You may have decided to come online because you read an eBook, listened to a teleseminar, or attended a live event. If you were anything like me, you saw this as an opportunity to change your life by sharing information with people around the world who wanted to know more about your topic.
As soon as you start building your online business you find out that you must have a list of people to email with information about your products and services, as well as those of your affiliate partners. There is only one problem: you don’t have list, or if you do, it is very small.
If this describes your situation, do not give up or even get discouraged. I started making money on the internet when I had less than one hundred people on my list. You can do the exact same thing. The key is to offer people exactly what they want on your topic. This will give you a highly responsive list that will be anxious to purchase the products and services that you have to offer. In fact, with a list of just several hundred I began to be among the top 10 to 20 affiliates for people such as Alex Mandossian and Armand Morin. You can do this as well.
Set up an opt-in page where you can give someone a short report or audio recording on your topic. Make it very specific so they will know right away if this is information they are interested in. Then email them every day during the first week after they sign up, providing lots of valuable free content and information.
If they are not truly interested they will simply unsubscribe at this point. If they stay on your list, you can begin to market to them on a regular basis. make sure that anything you offer is of great quality and will actually be helpful to them. This way your reputation begins to build as someone who will help them to acheive their goals. This has worked very well in my online business.

Very good points! You are correct that it is quality over quantity. A small targeted list that you send good quality, relevant content to is just as valuable as a huge list of random people.
Thanks for the info!

Wow! talk about a perfectly timed blogpost. Are we on the same wavelength or what! I just put up a new website with an opt in form for a wellness newsletter! Your article validated my business plan. Thank you! Good points about quality, relevant content!

Thanks so much for the info! This has been very helpful to me as I am trying to figure out how I can start a list for the educational products I design for parents and teachers. I would love for you to take a look at my products. Would your program work for me also?
