Knowing which keywords people use when they are searching for what you have to offer in your business is crucial to your success. But finding out what those keywords are may be an entirely different story. There are several ways to do this that will make it much easier for you to be found by prospects and potential clients.
Go to the sites of your competitors and others who also work in the same or similar niche as yours. Right click in an open area of their site and then choose the view source option. This will show you which words they are using, and will give you some ideas of words and phrases you may never have thought of.
Make a list of these and then go over to Google’s free keyword selector tool. Type in each phrase and then see which others also come up in the search results. The idea is to find terms that are searched between one thousand and ten thousand times each month on a global basis.
When you write articles and blog posts, use these phrases in your titles. Make a list, print it out, and post it in your office next to your computer. This will make it much easier for you to find what you need immediately.
Knowing how to use the right keyword phrase will give you an advantage. This is all a part of SEO (search engine optimization), and you will find that it becomes much easier over time.
