Teaching others how to do something is one of the best ways to increase your own knowledge of the topic. This has been done for centuries and can help you to build your business and achieve your goals while helping someone else. I use this style of teaching and learning in my daily life.
When I was a classroom teacher my students used to teach each other in order to reinforce the concepts I was teaching. They soon realized that if they could teach someone else a concept they had just learned, they would know it that much more. It became a game to see who would take one of my lessons and teach it again to some of the other students.
Now that I mentor adults in how to start an online business, the same rule applies to their learning. I present the information I want to teach on weekly webinars. Some of the people catch on right away, while others need more time. When one of my students explains it to the others everyone benefits. I believe this is because everyone learns in a different way and can then explain what they have learned to someone else.
This works no matter what topic you are teaching or learning. I teach online writing and technology, and these are both topics that require different levels of understanding. I even find myself learning from my students as we share our experiences and one of them describes their particular point of view and learning style. The point is that you can learn from anyone, no matter who starts out as the teacher.

Great point and so true! I learn back from my kids what I teach them! 🙂
