Time management becomes crucial once you make the decision to work from home. I was surprised at how easily I disciplined myself to be productive for several hours each day. I have more energy and creative ideas in the morning, so that is when I do the majority of my article writing and blogging.
I also break down my daily activities into ones that will build my list, increase my traffic, and generate more income. If it doesn’t fall into one of these areas, it probably is something that is just taking up my time and not something that will help me to meet my goals. I also love holding teleseminars and webinars for my students. I like to have these in the early afternoon, so that I am finished by about six o’clock my time.
I also love having the time to spend with my family and friends, as well as with my activities in my community. My making a schedule for myself and managing my time, I am able to accomplish much more than I had ever thought I could.
During the past year I have begun to outsource even more of what I do in my online business. I know what i enjoy doing and what I am good at; everything else gets turned over to someone else. Finding people to help you in your business will help you to become more productive when you are working from home.

Don’t forget that by outsourcing you can create synergy and referrals. You’ve clearly got it going, Connie. I appreciate your work and it appears to be paying off nicely.

As usual, you remind me of things I’ve been meaning to do. In this case, making more of a conscious effort to time chunk my day. I know when I do that, my productivity will really improve.

This is great advice, Connie. I appreciate the balance that you model – and your clarity about time boundaries. You cover a lot of ground here – thanks for the good information, as always!

How do you find quality outsource people? For a control freak like me, it seems hard. How do you go about that?
