I taught two classes today on how to use Squidoo to build up your blogs, articles, and other sites. You don’t hear as much about Squidoo right now as you used to, but it is still a very powerful marketing strategy. This site was created by Seth Godin in 2005 and released to the world in the beginning of 2006 as a way for everyone to have access to web publishing. You can get your message out very quickly, and without cost, but I believe it is much more effectivetive than it is given credit for.
I particularly like the ‘big arrow’ module, which enables you to point your ‘lens’ (this is what web pages on Squidoo are called) back to your article or other site. The result is that you have an opportunity to link sites in both a linear and circular fashion that can be perfect for SEO (search engine optimization). I encourage you to set up a free account over at Squidoo to see what you can create in just a matter of minutes.

Squidoo is very powerful. As a matter of fact, it makes up one of the legs of my Traffic Triad. Another great site that gets A LOT of search engine love and lets you post free pages on is HubPages!
