I’ve been a part of several careers during my life, and marketing online is one of the only ones that allows you to earn while you learn. During my first year on the Internet I learned how to write articles and to blog, and soon I was doing this for my Rotary Club to help them to be noticed by our community. This led to me marketing for two small service business owners, a handyman and an insurance agent. Even though they were aware that I was still learning, they were willing to pay me to help make their phones ring.
While I was doing this work for them during 2007 and 2008 I got much better at it, and even learned some new skills that helped me to increase my own online business. The result was that I was able to earn some additional money while honing my writing and marketing skills. I added teleseminars and press releases to what I was making available to them, and they were thrilled. As social media emerged, I began using Twitter and Facebook to market myself and my small business clients.
Think about what you have learned since coming online. Is there a small business owner who needs your help in making their phone ring? Take a look at my program on marketing for local businesses to see if this business model makes sense for you.

That is some excellent and extremely practical advice Connie!
Because as long as we are moving, it’s far easier to make
any and all the necessary adjustments!
Sadly, what most tend to do is to sit by idly, until they feel fairly comfortable, they have all or most of the answers!
Which just leads to more doubt and inactivity!
