I used to hear about the internet marketing lifestyle when I first came online in 2005 and 2006. I pictured people on the beach, sipping little drinks with umbrellas in them. Not hardly. Working online is job, and you must get everything in order if you want to make any money.
But the lifestyle is grand. I choose my own hours and days that I will be working, and can make changes to that at any time. I am also able to be creative and teach courses and programs that will best help my students.
If you are thinking about starting an internet business, be prepared to work hard and play hard. Learn as much as you can. Go to live events and meet people to form joint venture partnerships. Be active in social media. Write articles. Blog.
That’s really all there is to it. It took me more than a year to figure that out, but now I can say positively that you can build an online empire if you are willing to spend the time and make the effort to get it all set up.

Ahoy Connie,
Nice, to the point, article. I like it.
Internet marketing can sometimes be a love-hate relationship. I agree about it being hard work. I deal with the same kind of misunderstanding of my living-on-a-boat lifestyle. People think I sit around doing nothing all day long.

Gee, Connie, these sound like all of the same steps to build a brick and mortar business! Except for the technology, it’s the same. Good thing you’re here to help us with the technology!

Hi Connie,
Just wanted to stop to say hello and that I just found your site. I will definitely be coming back all the time as I am also interested in creating info products and ecourses – trying to stay focused. Internet marketing can have so many distractions. I will stop by again soon 🙂
