Managing your time when you are writing online is crucial. The hours can seem to slip away from you and then you will have very little to show for it. Instead, make a schedule of when and what you will be writing about and stick to your plan every day.
First, take a look at your lifestyle and what your intention is with your online business. We all have different goals and dreams about building our online empires. Because we are entrepreneurs and can create our businesses to match our lifestyles, the first step is to figure out exactly what we want it to look like.
For me, working about four hours each day suits me very well. I usually write for an hour or two when I wake up in the morning, and then leave the house and go about my daily routine. Later in the afternoon I work on creating new products and setting up my webinars and teleseminar trainings. I hold the trainings in the early afternoon three days each week. Later at night I do another hour of writing.
I also recommend making a schedule of what you wish to accomplish during the next week and month. This helps you to focus your attention on the tasks you will be spending your time doing. If you do not write it down, you may never get your writing finished. This is a powerful and true statement.
Before you do anything else in your online business, make a list of what you will be writing about today, this week, and this month. If you are not sure, write down the part you are sure about at this moment. The rest will fall into place as you move further along in the process. Managing your time as an online writer will increase your productivity almost immediately.
