I was recently asked about using PLR (private label rights) articles and reports, and what I thought about them. I do all of my own writing, so I did not even think about purchasing something written by someone else until 2009. It was then that I discovered that there were some excellent reports that I give away to my prospects, on topics I did not have enough knowledge about to write on my own.
These short reports became an excellent way for me to provide additional content and information to my list. The only thing I would change was the link to my site in the footer and information about myself at the end of the report. I also say that it is presented by me and not written by me so that it will not be misleading or confusing to anyone who reads it.
Make sure that you know the site that is offering this information so you do not end up purchasing something that has been plagiarized from another writer. Many sites are reputable, so check them out before you buy anything. I highly recommend two different ones – Nicole’s PLR site and the master resale rights site.
I believe that your best writing will come from the areas you are most confident about. Take a close look at your strengths and areas of expertise and then just start writing. You may be amazed at what you will be able to write when it is a topic you know about and are interested in. Before you decide that buying PLR is the way to go, give yourself a chance to do your own writing.
