Testimonials are a great way to promote and market your ebook. Make sure that they are results driven and not just saying how nice it was to work with you. A good testimonial will show people who do not know you that there is substance behind your name. Be sure to ask people for testimonials. If they have used your products or services and comment on how much they have been able to accomplish because of it, ask them if they would be willing to write or record a short testimonial. Use their complete name, not just L.G. from Wichita, and sive their website or blog URL.
By the time you write your sales letter you should have at least two testimonials. Also include a picture, but make sure that it is alright with your client. Some people don’t want their pictures used. Additionally, have the person give exact numbers and dates, if possible. For example, “my business has increased 30% since June, 2007” sounds much stronger than “we’re doing lots more business now”.
