I have connected with more people this week than ever before. As part of my list building efforts, which have been extremely successful, I found myself being more sociable than ever. It made me think about how the internet is so similar to the offline world.
Even though I have now connected with all 4,200 of my friends of Facebook, as well as my several hundreds of followers on Twitter, it is the people I have met during the past two years at seminars and conferences that are making the greatest difference in my online business.
To be truly successful online, continue to build your web 2.0 family, but look for ways to meet with people face to face. Attending live events is the very best way. I have one more conference in December, making for a total of five live events I will have attended during 2008.
Promise yourself that you will attend at least one seminar or conference during 2009, and meet some of your online friends in person. You will find that this is the fastest way to joint ventures and networking that will change your bottom line.

Meeting on-line connections off-line really is quite an experience! And nothing is more solidifying to that friendship/connection that has developed!
Attending local tweetups, seminars, etc. is something that I think is undervalued when it comes to incorporating it to what we do online. When you take the time to meet on-line people off-line, it has a *great* impact on your business (any business really)!

How many face to face online business mtgs/conferences have you attended the past couple of years?
