You want to feel like you are learning from an expert any time you take on something new. Working on the internet is no exception. Getting to the person who is an expert in the exact area you are interested in will make you more likely to want to invest in any programs, courses, or events that person is involved in. That expert can be you.
No matter what your experience was before you came online, you are now in the position to become an expert in your niche. I learned this from my friend and colleague Kathleen Gage more than 3 years ago. Kathleen has positioned herself as an expert in internet marketing training. You can hear more about this on her teleseminar on April 16. She will be talking about ‘The Truth About Making Money on the Internet’. Much of what I now do came directly from Kathleen’s teachings.
So how do you become an expert in your field? It is very different online than offline. On the internet you become an expert by learning everything possible about your topic. Read what everyone else has written. Attend live events where the other experts will be speaking. Put your own unique spin on the topic so that you can get your message out in a way that feels right to you. In a short time you will have positioned yourself as an expert.
