Something magical happened in my business this week. It seemed like overnight more people were signing up for my programs and emailing me about joining my webinar trainings. At the same time, I was being asked to do more interviews and to speak at live events. While I may refer to this sequence of events as being ‘magical’, this is really based on laying a strong foundation.
You can do the same thing, no matter what your niche. Follow my five prongs – blogging regularly, article marketing, social media, teleseminars and internet radio, and promoting affiliate products – and your business will take off over time.
Remember that more than 90% of the people who come online give up after a year. If you keep doing what I teach, and continue to do it, great things will happen. It won’t happen right away – I made no money my first year – but once the wheels get turning there will be no stopping you. Lay your foundation and your online business will grow!

I’ll second Emma’s commentary and add that every presentation and training of yours that I’ve listened to has been engaging, educational, and enriching to me as a budding online marketer.
As far as patiently and strategically laying a foundation for online success, I believe Brinkley says it best …
“A successful man is one who can lay a firm foundation with the bricks others have thrown at him.” ~ David Brinkley
I respect that you don’t promise anyone instantaneous wealth or overnight miracles. We all might have to get hit with a few bricks first. 🙂

Connie,
You continue to be my inspiration and model. I can’t tell you how many times I find myself repeating something of yours I have read. The one that has always kept me going is that if you do this long enough, your voice will find an audience. As such, I have been experiencing some magic myself lately. More people asking for my services, people giving the types of comments that I only dreamed of a while ago.
Thanks again for providing the light.

You’re such a refreshing presence in the online mentor community! Inspiring, yes, but grounded in common sense. You also give hope to the introverts of the world; you don’t have to talk fast furious and loud to make it! 🙂 Thanks a bunch.
