Repupose Your Content and Reach More Prospects
Repurposing your content to give to your list is crucial. Everyone has a different learning style and wants to consume information in a way that is comfortable for them. You can start with one article and end up with ten or more different methods of distributing that same information out to your prospects. Think about how you can turn your ideas into written material, audio recordings, and video in order to get your message out to those who want to learn more from you.

I like to start with writing an article. This gives me a starting point on exactly what information I will end up repurposing. It also serves as an outline for me to organize my thoughts and ideas before reorganizing into other formats. I usually keep the article to less than five hundred words. This can be a flagship article for you that can be submitted to the article directories and posted on your blog. When you do it in this way you are able to connect every piece of content you create back to this original post, adding to your visibility online.
As soon as you have written the article and blog post, turn it into an audio recording right away. This can be done as a podcast or as a traditional mp3 audio. The idea is to give your prospects a variety of ways in which they can consume your content. Your auditory learners will appreciate being able to listen to information instead of having to read it. You will find that about ninety percent of people working on the Internet do not provide their written material in an audio format, so you will be setting yourself apart when you do so.
Taking it to video is not as difficult as it may seem at first. The easiest was for me to share my information in a video format is to create a Camtasia video and upload it to my server. You can also create a PowerPoint presentation and record the slides as you narrate each one. This can be uploaded to YouTube in minutes, as long as it is less than ten minutes long. I believe that videos should be kept to less than five minutes to be most effective for marketing.
Then you can go back and extend your article or blog post into a short report. This report can be four or five pages long and go into more detail than your original written information. Be sure to include your contact information on each page so that people can reach you later on. Then give this report away and ask people to share it with others. These types of reports can go viral very quickly when you include useful information presented in a manner that is simple to understand. I wrote this report some time back that will give you even more ideas on how to repurpose your content.

What a great idea about the audio – I’ve honestly never considered it as a learning style thing but I think I should.
I know that there are different organising styles and those I like to encourage, so why not audio? 🙂
