This week I would have been going back to work, if I were still teaching in the classroom. Instead, my life has changed dramatically. I was in the neighborhood in Los Angeles where my last school was loacted, so I drove by to see what was going on.
It’s been four years now, so many of the teachers I knew are no longer there. I spotted several teachers carrying heavy boxes across the asphalt yard. One had a shopping cart filled with items meant for the classroom. It’s difficult for me to imagine that I could still be there, counting the days until my next paycheck and worrying about my health.
I went into teaching to make a difference in the lives of children. I am now able to do that in a much bigger way because of the charitable work I do in my city. Instead of helping just 40 children each year, my work allows me to help several hundred. I do this by volunteering to read, help with homework, and just listen to the kids. I am also able to donate money that goes for books, school supplies, and field trips. I thank God every day for the opportunity I now have from working online. How would your life be different if you tripled your income and doubled your time off?

I’m starting to see as I go further along with my online business that indeed, I am also leaving my old life behind. At first I tried to juggle it, and then realized that it does take work and effort to build an online business, just like anything else, but the payoff of sheer freedom and the ability to work from anywhere in the world is well worth it to me!

What a chunk of nostalgia! For eight years I worked for a school district as an instructional assistant. I can still hear all the moaning, groaning, and griping the teachers used to do about how hard they worked, how much they cared about their students, yet their financial compensation was pretty dismal and the overtime was pretty constant.
I’m really anxious for the day when I can say goodbye to my current life and be able to refer to it as my “old life”! It will happen … especially with your help, Connie.

I love the fact that you help so many kids. God smiles and so do I.

You describe well how by creating your on-line business you have left the old you behind and grown into a new you. . That’s what I want for myself and it sure helps to have you show the way. I love the fact that you take such delight in being able to help so many children through the charitable work you are now able to do.

This is a huge benefit that I see also. As a neuromuscular massage therapist, I could only “get my hands on” one client at a time. That was good, but as The Pain Relief Coach, I can help a LOT of people all at the same time online. That is a big benefit of sharing information online.

Isn’t it wonderful to be growing and finding a life purpose that is so rewarding and helps you to reach out to others. Who would have guessed from the outset that working from home could be so creative and fulfilling. Thanks for your effort in creating a path.
