As young children we asked the adults around us to tell us a story. It was our way of making sense of the changing world around us. School brought more stories, and soon we had stories of our own. It is no wonder that storytelling works so well in our web sales copy.
Storytelling allows readers and prospects to connect with our message. It can be hypnotic as people find themselves caught up in the story you are telling.
On September 8 and 10 I am co-teaching a Storytelling Workshop with copywriter Cathy Goodwin. You will enjoy this workshop and go away being able to craft your own signature story and compelling copy. This has worked very well for me.

I’ve noticed that difference in other people’s writing, Connie.
If I’ve enjoyed reading someone’s post, for instance, and then I go back to analyse what I’ve have just read, more often than not the author has been telling a story.
It’s a way of writing that I usuallay try to incorporate into my own work.

I believe our brains are somehow wired to remember and relate to stories much more than chunks of facts, lists, and figures we hear or read. And everyone loves to pass along a good story!
