This is the first time I have written about this topic, simply because I didn’t want to share any information until I had enough experience to back it up. Now, after looking at several different membership site software packages, free applications, and other systems designed to help you set up content and charge people on a monthly basis I can honestly say that Wish List Member is the easiest and most inexpensive  way to go.

Wish List Member is a WordPress plugin. This means that you only need to set up a WordPress blog, install this plugin, and set up a membership site that day. It also allows you to have different levels of membership – free, trial, or paid – all on the same blog.

There are a couple of areas where you will need to make sure you know what you’re doing, such as remembering to protect your updates each time you post to your blog. Other than that, it’s as simple as setting it up and adding content. It also has total integration with 1 Shopping Cart, which means that you do not have to sign up for expensive programs to be able to charge your members.
