Creating a newsletter is a fantastic way to build your list, but you will also want to consider having an e-course as well. An e-course consists of several lessons on your topic that let people know how knowledgeable you are in your niche. Instead of signing up for an expensive and lengthy course you are offering, many people will prefer to get to know you through the experience of a five or seven part e-course.
Give your e-course a title that really tells your prospects what they will learn. A great title will contain keywords and action verbs to let people know that they will have important knowledge in this area after completing your e-course. Be as specific as possible.
When people opt in to your list to receive this free instruction, send them the first lesson right away. Include Action Steps they can take in order to move on to the next level in their understanding of the topic. Set up all of the lessons in advance in an autoresponder system. At the end of the second lesson and all subsequent lesson, include a link for them to download any past lessons they may have misplaced or not received.
Throughout the e-course, provide resources and options for people to further engage you in their learning process. If you offer paid courses or home study materials, let them know about it during this time. You will find that this is an excellent way to build rlationships with your prospects and turn them into clients.
