Repurposing your content will help you to reach more people than ever before, and save your precious time as well. I’ve written about this often, and you can read about that here in this post on repurposing your eBook into an information product. Repurposing is the process of taking something you have already written and turning it into other formats in different ways. Before doing this with anything you have already created, think about the people you are trying to reach, what makes sense for your target audience, and how you will monetize everything you repurpose. By taking this simple action you will have greater success with this process.

Think about the people you want to reach with your message and information. By identifying who you want to connect with you will be able to better craft what you write or record to give them the specific details they are looking to receive. Remember that the Internet has lots of information available to anyone who is searching, so be sure that you are only targeting the people you can best serve. There are plenty of people out there who want exactly what you have to offer them.
How does your target audience prefer to receive their information? Many people still prefer to read, and may even choose to print out what you prepare for them. Others like to listen to the information while they are driving or exercising. Still other people, such as me, enjoy having both the audio and the written material available to consume. It is simple enough to offer your information in multiple formats.
I am in business to earn a living, so I think of how I can monetize each effort I make. I typically start with an article or a blog post to see what kind of reaction I get from my prospects. If they are excited and want to know more, I will then make an audio recording of me reading and paraphrasing my article. The next step is a short report I can either give away or sell. If all of this is popular with the people who are interested, I will go on to add it to a membership site and create a product around it. This is where I am able to make money and build my business. All of my research and writing leads to a product that can be sold for residual income for years to come.

Your last paragraph is the most potent for me. I’ve always heard that you should repurpose your content but no one ever said how – until your last paragraph. Out comes “one note” and another Connie-gem goes in it.
Thanks for that help. I’m still trying to learn how to make the special report.
Thanks again.

Hi Connie,
You present a very good plan. Like Terrie said – at the end, great steps to follow!! I’m going to try that with one of my posts or articles.

That’s some excellent advice Connie!
And it really makes perfect sense, from
a marketing standpoint, to try and reach
our target audience, in as may ways as we can.
So your re-purposing concept flat out makes sense!
And most of us, are only an additional step or two away from doing just that. Thanks for reminding us!
